ArcBlock Community Technical Q&A 8/8/2018
On August 8th, the eleventh ArcBlock Community Technical Q&A took place in the Telegram group. The conversation between CEO Robert Mao and ArcBlock’s community members is as follows:
Robert: Last weekend, we hosted an invitation-only hackathon in our Seattle office. About 12 engineers from the Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Expedia participated.
In one day, they built five projects on ArcBlock's platform:
- A mobile block explorer built with React Native that runs on iOS and Android.
- Realtime Etherscan Mini. It's a simple Etherscan-like app, but with a real-time feature: you don't need to refresh; the latest block will appear in real time.
- A data analytics tool to explore Ethereum
- A react widget component to display a block, address, and transaction.
- A Facebook messenger bot to monitor an address in real time.
Project number five was the final winner. The hackers are from Google.
I am certain we will make ArcBlock a great blockchain application development platform.
Q: What happened to your partnerships with IBM and SAP?
Our relationship has not changed.
After these technical Q & A sessions, I believe everyone has a very detailed understanding of the progress of the project. We are running into fewer and fewer problems each week. In addition, we have a weekly engineering status report, a monthly overall report, and we update our websites and WeChat public blog every few days. In light of these changes, we have decided to change the weekly technical Q&A to twice a month, and let our technical team have more time to develop better products for everyone.
